gungahlin parking

GerryBuilt has sent in this gem saying:

…another from the ‘Gungahlin parking mess’ files… This one; outside The kids indoor playground near Gungahlin country club… This is just getting too easy :-/

I knew a girl that parked like this on purpose so others cars couldn’t park next to her apparently ‘more important than anyone elses’ vehicle.

I know someone that has, on more than one occasion, deflated two tyres on cars parked this way.

I often want to park like that, and while I don’t make a habit of it, I have done so on one or two occasions, away from main entrances and only if a car park was virtually empty. It’s not that I think myself or my car is more important than anyone else’s, it’s that other people often don’t give a shit about anyone else’s property. Bitter experience from unwanted dings and scrapes has proved that to be the case.

As a result I’m quite particular about where I park and if there’s a chance to avoid door bangers I’m all for it.

I don’t really care if there’s enough space. But WHY do so many people insist on parking with their rear to the kerb? Yes, I do understand it gives you greater visibility when you pull out, but from a logistics point of view when you consider the manouvring involved, it makes no sense to me at all. And it is annoying if some cars are parked like that and others are not and there are mirrors sticking out all over the place.

Well it actually just shows a few cars parked incorrectly, but hey

I knew a girl that parked like this on purpose so others cars couldn’t park next to her apparently ‘more important than anyone elses’ vehicle.

Shows that driving is definately a privilege and not a right…!!

That’s what parking inspectors are for. If they get a ticket and are forced to pay financially they will smarten up their act real quick next time. There is no penalty or consequence so they don’t give a stuff.

to me ir looks like two of the cars got it right………….

They are parked in a public place where everyone can see, dont see the issue with the numberplates

why are we censoring the plates? name and shame

Just saves me trouble in the long run.
