ACT Policing is appealing to the public after a burglary in Kambah on Saturday night (November 26) where a number of firearms were stolen.
The burglary is believed to have occurred sometime between 10.30pm on Saturday, November 26 and 7.00am on Sunday, November 27. Police believe the offender(s) have entered the unlocked garage of a home in Faithfull Circuit, Kambah, and taken the entire gun safe that was secured in the owner’s garage.
Police believe the home owner’s wheelbarrow was used by the offender(s) to move the gun safe from the garage to nearby parkland.
Three bolt action rifles were stolen along with a single barrel shotgun and an air rifle. The bolt action rifles were without their bolts, making them inoperable. No ammunition was stolen.
Anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity between 10.30pm on Saturday, November 26 and 7.00am on Sunday, November 27 around Faithfull Circuit in Kambah, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
