The GWS Giants have put up for voting the eight logos they are considering adopting as their ACT mark for the 2012 AFL season and beyond. They were also published in the CT on Tuesday.

I’m sure some will be disappointed by the absence of the toilet option, but for those of us who want to see the club get it right, there’s still a couple of worthy choices here. Get voting!

Disclaimer: author is also a finalist.

So voting left to right, top to bottom, which options do you favour (vote as many as you like)?

I like GWS logo options...

Why not just change the grey to light blue, they will then be uniquely Canberran in the same colours as an old ACTION bus.

The designs are all pretty ugly.. I could live with designs 1 or 6.

With due respect to Primal, they’re not the greatest designs.

I always understood the reference to Canberra would be a subtle addition on the back of the jumpers, at the top most likely, and on that basis I reckon a small ACT Coat of Arms is the best option from those available.

No offence taken – I’m not a professional graphic designer, never shall be either. Just a doodler with a desire to see more AFL in this town.

There will be both a permanent small reference to Canberra on the club’s main jumper, and a specific ACT jumper that will be worn when the team plays at Manuka. Just what each of those things will look like depends partly on what wins this competition, but (so I understand) it will still be subject to further refinement by the club (i.e. they’re not just going to stick the winning logo on the front of an orange jumper and say ‘Hey, there’s your ACT jumper’).

All dreadful? Where’s your civic/Civic-pride!

I’m on board with Walter. I would buy this jumper even though I feel no affinity to either western Sydney or the colour orange.

They’re all dreadful, but given the prize on offer you wouldn’t expect much. Good thing GWS covered themselves by saying the “winning design will be considered” but not necessarily used.

In the (toilet) seat of government, democracy should rule.

We want the toilet option back.

Toilet, Toilet, Toilet!!!!!!!!!

But I don’t really care enough to get too involved.

4 wins because it doesn’t have the jarring white field
