Cricket ACT has announced that former local player Brad Haddin is coming back to Manuka Oval for the PMs XI game on 3 February:

Australian Test Vice Captain Brad Haddin will captain the Prime Ministers XI against Sri Lanka on Friday 3 February at Manuka Oval.

Haddin a former ACT Comets representative will make his fourth appearance for the Prime Ministers XI and will become the second former ACT player to Captain the Prime Ministers XI alongside Michael Bevan.

The Australian wicket keeper will have current Queensland Bull and Brisbane Heat Batsman Peter Forrest as his deputy for the match.

CEO of Cricket ACT Mark Vergano said “having local boy Brad Haddin as Captain provided a wonderful inspiration to young local cricketers that they can aspire to achieve at the highest levels of the game.”

Many thanks JB, where can I get updates from? (Apart from RiotAct that is!)

HoldenC, I have to agree, it’s a shame, he’s a good keeper but not good enough to fill Gilly’s gloves.

Poor old Brad can’t take a trick at the moment. Even the weather has dumped him.

Any one know what’s happening about the chance of play today? I don’t want to go and sit in the rain! Phoning the ground gets no reply.

What about having Nathan Lyon and then we’d at least have a bloke who deserves his spot in the Test team.
