I sure as hell will never be going to Zone 3 and i will tell others not to.

According this weeks Riot Act DIY What’s On Guide, it seems that Brian from Toast has had enough of fighting the very same thing.

The city seems to get alot of that. City dweller wannabees moving in and then trying to change the place to suit them. CBD areas are not quiet areas.

Poor Joan at the PB doesn’t seem to be even allowed to operate as a live venue in an industrial area. Despite having done so for at least a decade. (not sure whether it was a live venue before it was the PB).

Maybe Zone 3 should be boycotted?

there is a word for people that make noise complaints against pubs – it starts with “C” and ends with “unts”. Don’t like it. Move. I am sure the pot was there first.

Sorry, ignore the post above as this one has much better spelling and slightly better grammar:

On behalf of The Chuffs, i’d just like to make an apology to the people who came along to see us last night – only to see us play 2 and a half songs. This due to the owner of Zone 3 making noise complaints – despite the fact that this business had apparently already closed for the day.

In addition, i’d also like to say a big thankyou and sorry to Alana who went to the trouble of learning the entire Chuffs set for this 1 show, only to play 2.5 songs.

I’m generally not one to cause speculation, but it all seems to be pointing towards some kind of sabotage towards the potbelly rather than a legitimate noise complaint. After all, how can you claim that the noise is affecting your business, when apparently, you aren’t actually open.

If someone could shed some light on this, i’d be greatful.
