Happy Birthday LBG

Which is as good a reason as any to cast our minds back to the official opening in 1964:

Do we now need to abbreviate it to LBGTI to ensure its fully inclusive?

I think if the carp were not in there eating the vegetation then the algae problem wouldnt be as bad?

Can we ask the folks at Captains Flat to stop doing such a good job stopping the toxic waste from the tailings heaps from leeching into the river? The lake needs more toxic waste to kill the algae if we ever want to use it for recreation purposes again. Right now it’s useless and may as well be demolished.

Wow. I wonder what the bottom would look like if they drained it? Like a carpark I suspect. And a bit of a graveyard (Im thinking of the Qbn cemetery – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queanbeyan_River – see flooding)
