Wow, Im surprised about the Hellenic in the City comment….

My boyfriend & I really enjoy going there, the food is amazing + they make cheap cocktails… I highly recommend going there.

It’s fine for Happy Hours, like the OP and you guys want. I kow it’s cheaper than some places and that’s why most people start out there on Friday/Saturday nights, so it wins there too. I’m talking about the blatent disrespect of regulars by management/some staff. It’s not worth us writing a complaint about, just little things that niggle at you, that tend to build up.

Anyway, like I said, you guys may have different experiences! 🙂

The Rugby Union Club in Barton has $10 jugs of Pure Blonde until 9pm

I guess they have to get rid of it somehow. I wonder if it works?

I don’t mind it to be honest – it’s less filling than other beers so I can drink more, without the alcohol content going downhill. After the first jug you don’t really care about the taste….

The Rugby Union Club in Barton has $10 jugs of Pure Blonde until 9pm, then $2.50 spirits. Free snacks at the bar early on too. Very friendly staff and a heated DOSA so smokers are not treated as the social lepers that they are…

The Durham in Kingston has Happy Hour(s) from about noon til 7:30pm on Fridays…and I think again on Saturdays. They’ve got a restaurant onsite which has everything from bar food to full mains and desserts.

Hellenic in the City.

-1 for here.
Used to go here all the time – spent a good deal of hard-earned cash here (and not on the pokies!) but the rudeness of the staff just got to me. I’d rather go a bit further for good service. The girls are alright, with the exception of 1 or 2, but a few of the blokes (whose names I know but won’t post) are the most arrogant jerks.

Really tarnishes the place for me – but you might have a better experience.

Labor Club Belco play this game, but is to be avoided … when the deep-fried treats come out, it’s like feeding time at the zoo … get in the way of the hordes at your own peril.

Hellenic in the City.
