OGgun11 has shared with the world some youthful Shuffle practitioners with the following note:

The hardstyle shuffle crew ACT canberra the FPSMS crew.

So beat these kids moonboy. 😛

Keeps them out of trouble I guess.

(Warning, some poor language in the distracting annotations.)

@#15 FFS Drop the shuffling and learn to express yourself in typed English for a start.

And explain to me what a ‘recognised canberra pro’ is in an underground movement?

Keep it real, dude.

I hear Fernwood will be holding classes in this, starting shortly.

well i stumbled across this little poll. so i decided to make myself an account on this website to give everyone theopinion of a recognised canberra pro. shuffling is not just a bunch of kids trying to look cool or impress people, and they dont dance to keep themselves out of trouble. a REAL shuffler dances to express to express there feelings. the canberra hardstyle group states “dance to express, not to impress”
and one more thing. leave shuffling alone and stop makeing blogs about it or posting comments on them. cause i speak for more than a few hundred people when i say that shuffling should stay underground and away from mainstream culture. if it went mainstream like hip-hop did, it would lose all its meaning and purpose, and people would start shuffling cause they think it is cool. thats all i have to say.

I agree with Tristero! I’m part of the newer generation that does the Melbourne Shuffle. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it! Some of my work can be found here:

Baby ravers! Maybe they can battle the baby goths and emo’s in civic.

Seems to be a derivative of the Melbourne Shuffle.

I love it when things come full circle like this!

I clearly remember being amused by adults (ie 18-25 year olds) doing this in little venues in melbourne ten odd years ago (and I believe it has been around much longer… late 80’s?). Many of them wore phat pants too.

Used to be called the ‘Melbourne shuffle’ back then… look it up on wikipedia. I reckon many of those Melbourne shufflers now wear suits every day. You really know something is no longer ‘underground’ when the primary school kids are putting up vids on youtube.

You’re spot on, Granny. It is much harder than it looks. They could be doing worse things than dancing! Good on ’em!

Strange fad. At least they’re not out rolling people or breaking into houses though.

i saw some of these guys in brisbane on the weekend… i wondered what the hell they were doing with their baggy tron/mc hammer pants.

I think it’s fantastic!

I think the footwork would be harder than it looks, as evidenced by poor old ‘T.B. the noob’. The spin that the ‘tic tac’ guy does looks incredible. Heaps of energy!

Well done that generation!

Has someone stolen their skipping rope?

Looks like they suffer from St Vitus Dance, epilepsy and tertiary syphyllus. Roll them on their side and stop them biting their tongue…

Still, when TT and ACA fill our prime time with stories of obese 12yo it’s good to see some physical activity occurring.

They’re pretty good.

When I was that age, all we did was the ‘blue light disco shuffle’, which consisted solely of swaying side to side vaguely in time with the music and not moving your feet at all.

i want pants like the kid had with the fluro lines on them.

I’m reliably informed by my 13 year old daughter (who thinks shuffling is pretty cool) that those pants are calls ‘phats’ or ‘phatties’. They might as well be speaking Martian to me at times 🙂

No, use a taser.

Indeed, beat those kids.

Am i just too old, I don’t really understand
