Harold Holt home videos at the National Archives

The Canberra Times is reporting that the National Archives have received eight personal films of Harold Holt, including rare footage from a birthday boating trip just months before his death.

Sadly there is no footage of the Russian submarine that whisked him away to see his mate Kim Philby on that fateful day,

No, no, it was a CHINESE submarine that got him. I can’t remember why they concluded it was Chinese, or even if the Chinese had submarines in those days, but there you go.
