stolen painting

Queanbeyan artist Matthias Nolte is appealing to the Canberra public for information on a painting of his which was recently stolen.

The painting was stolen from the Rotary Charity Art Show some time between Saturday (evening) 18 September to Sunday (morning) 19 September. Rotary Charity Art Show works are currently displayed under marquees in City Walk, Civic.

The painting is 102 cm wide and 72 cm high. It is signed Matthias 16 in the bottom left hand corner and is painted on wooden panel.

I haven’t seen the painting, but I did see Winnie and the skull doll nailed to a tree on the way to Bungendore.

Great painting. I hope he gets it back.

It’s ‘The Missing Link’ from Monsters vs Aliens.

That is one creepy pez dispenser. The eyes seem to follow you….

If anyone is looking to offload the above painting, I think it would look great in my study.
