ACT Policing is appealing to the public to help identify a woman who was found this morning (Tuesday, March 22) on Yamba Drive in Garran.
Police attended the area about 4.30am after a member of the public reported a woman sitting on the traffic island at the intersection of Yamba Drive and Hindmarsh Drive. The woman appears to suffer an intellectual impairment and has been unresponsive to questions.
Police were unable to locate any identification on the woman.
The woman appears to be in her 30s, wearing blue cargo pants, a blue T-shirt with white and purple writing on the front, a brown hooded vest with fur trim around the hood, and a black cap. She also had a blue back pack in her possession.
Anyone who may be able to assist police in identifying the woman are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
