ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in which a car was stolen at Hawker shops last night (Tuesday, June 7).
About 11.40pm two men parked in Hawker Place—behind a white Holden Commodore—to use an automatic teller machine. There were three men standing outside the Commodore and a woman in the driver’s seat.
The owner of the car returned to his vehicle when he saw one of the men standing near his car, which had the keys in the ignition and engine running. An altercation occurred between the victim and male offender and the victim was punched in the face. The offender then got into the victim’s vehicle, a white Nissan Skyline and drove off onto Springvale Drive towards Coulter Drive.
The first offender is described as male, wearing a white jumper and blue Adidas tracksuit pants with white stripes.
The second offender is described as male, with blond hair, pale skin and wearing a black jumper with green tracksuit pants.
The third offender is described as male, chubby with a kiwi accent, wearing a grey hooded jumper and jeans.
The female driver of the Commodore had dark-coloured hair.
Anyone who may be able to assist police with the investigation are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
