Happy Birthday Headspace!

Headspace ACT have been offering Canberrans a whole bunch of mental and physical health services and support for the past 5 years, and would like to celebrate this with you.

The ACT’s headspace centre is celebrating a significant milestone this month, having improved the wellbeing of young people in the Canberra and the surrounding area for five years. Since 2008, the centre has supported more than 4,000 12-25 year olds from area.

To mark the occasion, headspace ACT will be holding a fifth birthday festival on Saturday 14 September from 12-4pm at Garema Place in Civic. Grinspoon frontman, Phil Jamieson and Rugby League star Nathan Hindmarsh along with fellow Rock N Ride members will rock up on their Harley-Davidsons to help celebrate the 5 Stone from Bluejuice, Chris Joannou from Silverchair, Dj/producer Paul Mac, Kate Peck from MTV and Big Day Out CEO, Adam Zammit.

CEO of Big Day Out and co-founder of Rock N Ride, Adam Zammit said the group is passionate about raising awareness for youth mental health and headspace across the country and is excited to head to Canberra for this occasion.

Along with a performance from Phil Jamieson, there will be a line-up of local young performers including Katy Sam, Elephant Eating Spiders, Nova Scotia and Buck et al. Young people involved with headspace ACT will also share their personal stories.
