Anyone tried the 2006 Premium Helm Riesling?

Haven’t tried the 06 Riesling, but have tried many of his other wines over the years.

It’s always nice when we’ve got cellar dooring around Murrambateman, and sometimes he has been there.

A truly nice man, and a great ambassador for our regions wine industry.

Tried it on the weekend at the public tasting, and it was pretty damn good. Among the best there.

That’s pretty impressive. I wouldn’t have though the Germans would like our flinty rieslings. I remember getting a riesling from Helm’s cellar door (it was a small shed, from memory) back in the early 80s. It was a pretty early effort, to be polite. They come from that to this in a relatively short time – good on them.
