Henjak not going anywhere?

My spies at the Brumbies presentation dinner inform me that Matt Henjak paid $10,000 for the Brumbies “9” number plate.

Not the action of a man planning to head off to Perth?

UPDATED: Nope – ABC Online say’s he’s gone for three years. Wonder why he wanted the plate so bad?

FURTHER UPDATE: My source has now pubblished a more complete story on this here. Apologies for the delay, The Pig has been linking to this from comments but he’s too terrified of TJ to link from the front page.

Matt Henjak is a great player, it is sad that he is leaving the brumbies to go to perth. I think he will keep the plates on his wall in perth so that it reminds him of the good times that he had playing for the brumbies. Matt Giteau better not go because i love him and Matt G and Matt H can still keep in contack over the phone.

I think it is great he bought the plates, an everlasting memory of his 4 years involved in the Brumbies… maybe we will see the plates on his mums car.

If he keeps Canberra as his place of residence and only lives in Perth for pre-season and season then he can probably get away with it (not saying that its within the law, just that he can probably get away with it)

If he lives in Perth and tries to whack those plates on his car he will be unregistered, bet he didnt think of that

Apparently that link contains ‘adult content’. My IT thought police say so.

In a slightly related note, here is TJ’s take on the Brumbies dinner with some blurry photos

I hear on the grapevine that if Henjack goes, then so does Giteau.

Looks like he’s going to me.

Also I heard that he was presented with a gift, a bottle of wine, at the dinner which most took to be a farewell gift.

Yep, a first class mug.
