here and now

This intriguing work on the Acton end of London Circuit was installed in October but I only came across it today.

They look like they’ve been to the races.

Rest assured, they will be used as large refuse containers, particularly at the weekends! Question – how do you remove garbage from the statues, without firt having to unbolt them – more $$$’s of taxpayers money spent on maintaining some “art” that really is in an area where it will not benefit from any vieings, except those staying at the Rydges hotel!!

In the old days they erected statues of soldiers, statesman, explorers and religious and community leaders. Now all we get is this ponderous garbage. No wonder our society is going straight down the tubes.

May I suggest George Pell kissing Tony Abbott? No tubes in that at all.

WHY IS THIS NOT A STATUE OF MAGELLAN KILLING SOME KIND OF A NATIVE PERSON

BOO ART YAY OLD DAYS

et fkn cetera

Looks awesome! Love it.

In the old days all sorts of things were shit, lots of things are great now, including some wonderful new forms of art. Our society is still going ok.

A close-up may make it easier but I can’t tell how to get my rubbish into those rubbish bins.
