Hey RiotACT, what kind of bird is this?

I get them in my backyard too sometimes – eating from my neighbours oak tree that hangs over our fence.

it’s a ohmydoodlebird. It has no legs and when it lands it makes a sound very much like saying ohmydoodle

There’s one that is basically the reverse, green body and red wings. Is one the male and one the female? Lovely parrots around Canberra. I love how Rosellas are always in pairs.

What a handsome bird. All my yard attracts is Magpies and Peewees.

They will quite happily eat from your hand as long as the food is ok. Don’t expect to harvest any fruit they are here to harvest for you.

They love acorns from oak trees; in fact parrots and cockatoos love fruit seeds from all exotic plants and trees.
They are all looking forward to the juvenile trees budding at the Mount Rushmore Arboretum. What a mess they will make out there.
