It appears that someone in Simon Corbell’s department has woken up and realised that builders are required to build on the land they buy/lease.

He’s put out a media release announcing that from now on there’s going to be enforcement of this requirement.

One wonders if these 288 breaches of leases have anything to do with developers trying to keep prices up?

Supposedly they can’t find builders (at a reasonable price) to do the construction.

Which is why the market isn’t going to get “cheaper” just because there’s more blocks.

ABC News reported tonight that large parcels of land are being left sitting idle by developers.

More to do with can’t get a damn builder I think.
Who wants to pay full rates on empty land???
Money out for nothing in return. I love it – not.
