A 24-year-old Griffith man was arrested overnight after police found a hydroponics setup and cannabis at his house.
About 10.35pm last night (Wednesday, July 6), police attended the man’s house in response to a noise complaint. After being admitted to the residence and speaking with the man, police observed an amount of drug paraphernalia, including syringes and what appeared to be cannabis in a bucket in the middle of the lounge room floor.
Police returned to execute a search warrant on the man’s property around 3am, and found cannabis and equipment for a hydroponics setup, including lighting and fertiliser.
The man was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House for breach of bail and will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning. He is expected to be summonsed to face court at a later date on drug-related charges.
