Has anyone ever been to high tea in the afternoon at the Hyatt? Was wondering how much it costs. I can’t find anything on their website about it.

As far as I know it’s $32 p/p for the food – and then drinks on top of that, with one complimentary champagne.

It’s a really nice afternoon out 🙂

Haha I didn’t know you had to pay for the food. I stay there quiet often and every time I walk passed on the way out I usually grab some of the food.

Well the first one is free, the rest you pay for… hence complimentary.

If it costs “in the mid 30s”, how is the glass of champagne “complimentary”?

I’ve been twice in the last couple of months. It’s a really nice afternoon. It costs in the mid $30’s and is all you can eat buffet style with a complimentary glass of champagne.

The food ranges from mini quiches to salmon sandwich fingers. However it is the deserts which make it worthwhile.

I would recommond booking if you are thinking of going as it is quite popular.

Give them a ring!

I have done it, it was a while ago though, so I can’t really tell you how much it was but it was pretty nice.

Oh and I can’t be f-cked with personal attacks so I don’t do them.

A bit of topic but… There used to be a ‘slow food ‘ group that used to operate out of the croquet club just behind the Hyatt that was good, wonder whats happened to them.

You’re funny wishuwell. Real funny. 😛

Be careful of overly aggressive queues.

It’s great fun AussieGal. It’s been a few years since I did the High Tea but its well worth the effort. A word of caution though, it can get expensive if you get carried away with sandwich triangles, petite fours etc.
