Its a lot easier to bust meth dealers and potheads than to go after the bankers, lawyers and judges who snort coke for breakfast.

So yes, boo hoo, poor dealer, taking the fall because we keep criminalising natural human behaviour. There have been drugs longer than there have been police, and there will still be drugs long after there are police. The usage rate doesn’t change when it is made legal and after a hundred years of drug war, the usage rate is still no different. So why is it still a crime to get high?

Comments #7, 9 & 14, undoubtedly the results of and reason for prohibiting drugs. This level of paranoia cannot be good for you. If you looked into the news recently [ if you believe any of it ] there are drugs that make people eat each others faces off. Great reason to make it legal.

Some arsehat dealer sold one of my acquaintances the smack that killed him. It was one last little treat before he went into rehab. Yes, the victim was responsible for his own actions and they resulted in his death, but without the dealer pushing the crap on him so he could make money from the sale my friend would still be alive today I reckon.

I’m all in favour of decriminalisation of drug use. Under a decriminalised regime drug dealers would be just like any other retailer. But we don’t live under those happy circumstances, so right now dealers are purveyors of misery, disease, corruption and death.

The factual reality of the CIA is so much broader and scarier than the movies make out that I think most people are too scared to look into it, or just don’t care.

All this is a bit beside the point in this thread, but just dismissing people because they mention the CIA is really quite counterproductive to stimulating conversation.
