Honkers on Commonwealth Ave bridge

Why is it that every time I walk over the Commonwealth Ave bridge – I always get some idiots honking me.

I am not hot, nor am I particularly ugly?

It scares the life out of me, interrupts my line of thinking, and makes my little dog go mad.

Funny thing is – it never happens in Kings Ave bridge.

Is it that people are that happy to be driving out of Belconnen?

Is that Spanish or something Nordic?

What makes you think the honking is about you? When I had an air horn on the bicycle, pedestrians just ignored it – road type sound, therefore irrelevant to someone on the path?

Yeah, reminds me of a t-shirt I saw at a festival last year: “It’s All About Me”.

Has someone pinned a note on the back saying, “Honk if you’re horny”?

Is it small sized t-shirt with 2CA on the front?

Wear a Burqua?

I suggest you remove your Frangipani stickers to avoid this attention you are receiving.

This is why god gave you your middle finger.

Never assume the basics, Whatsup!

*chuckle*

So you do actually have clothes on and stuff?

Now that’s a good question !

So you do actually have clothes on and stuff?

If you don’t walk down the middle of the road, then people wont honk at you to get off and use the footpath.

People wont honk you over on Kings Ave because the defence types are always running all over the roads and drivers are used to it.

What makes you think the honking is about you? When I had an air horn on the bicycle, pedestrians just ignored it – road type sound, therefore irrelevant to someone on the path?

maybe it has nothing to do with you and they’re honking at other drivers? People are good at having accidents on Commonwealth Ave bridge..

Excellent spelling, I think there’s some new versions of words (werds) there.

honking at ppl is increadably rude and can be extreamly hurtful. girls can get alot of intimadating and unwanted attention from males which can seriously lower there confidance and self werth. but i wonder if someone would fall off that bridge by being honked at, i think the side rale may be too high.

im sorry, but your post made me laugh.

I think they are hoping I am so shocked I fall off the bridge!

Does that work? Hmmm… I’ve got a day off tomorrow, should go experiment!

picture required or comments not accurate

naaahh – i don’t think they are honking at a tidy unit. I think they are hoping I am so shocked I fall off the bridge! But thanks for the postive thought!

Nothing wrong with honking at a tidy unit. It is a compliment stirred, you should be proud!

Buy a portable airhorn and honk back.

yes – my dog is very cute. Maybe the honkers are honking at him.

I wonder why the honking doesn’t happen on Kings Ave?

And maybe a dog pod for you little mad dog lol

It scares the crap out of me when I’m walking down a busy road and a car honks. There’s a gold car in Civic full of guys with matching gold chains who do it all the time. If it always happens on the bridge, why do you keep walking across it? But if you really like that bridge try wearing an iPod.

What does the Commonwealth Ave bridge have to do with Belconnen?

maybe it is a symbolic thing, crossing from the belco side of the lake to the southside?

would have thought it was more about fleeing from civic…

Well, that terribly exciting post made my day.

One for the “coffee” files

What does the Commonwealth Ave bridge have to do with Belconnen?

I am not hot, nor am I particularly ugly?

They put a question mark on the end, so I guess it’s a question. I therefore second johnboy’s request.

Driving over the Commonwealth Avenue bridge is directly related to leaving Belconnen?

Is it that people are that happy to be driving out of Belconnen?

Maybe they are telling you you are lost. Wouldn’t crossing Commonwealth Ave Bridge mean leaving or entering City (Civic) or Parks?

In the mirror you may be good, but think about drivers. We only get to see you from behind and a mirror wont show that. Just grin and take it as a compliment otherwise it will keep you up at night wondering what they were honking at.

Cameltoe alert?

Maybe it’s because your skirt is tucked into your undies.

Way to discourage the “Johnboy’s sexist” whines, Jb…

Cue Sepi in 3… 2… 1…

ditto johnboy’s comment

Any chance of a photo in walking get so hotness can be judged?
