ABC News have this story about the theft of drugs from Canberra Hospital yesterday evening. While the drugs taken are designed for heart conditions I’m sure the junkies who took them won’t be using them for those purposes.

I heard on radio news yesterday (can’t remember what station) that the drugs included adrenaline. I don’t remember the rest of the list.

Jazz – completely agree. Despite it being an unpopular view, I am actually a fan of taking problem children out of regular classes and putting them into some sort of program that they can actually benefit from. If this means being heavy handed, so be it. The added benefit is the normal kids who actually want to learn something can do so within these trouble makers wasting the school’s time and resources.

VY, they have a job, its called burglar 🙂

On the other hand if our education system had the balls to stand up and make kids learn rather than pandying to them and their parents then perhaps young people wouldnt be so disgruntled when mediocre performances mean they dont get a real job.

The same way a lot of criminals succeed. Act like you’re supposed to be doing something, and most people will ignore you.

My uncles house in Sydney was burgled many years ago. The burglars arrived in a removal truck, dressed in overalls, and spent 2 hours clearing the house out.

The neighbours on either side were at work, and no-one else in the vicinity knew enough about my uncle to know that the activity was unexpected.

how on earth does someone walk out of a hospital ward carrying a plasma TV without being stopped?

But it’s not the junkies fault! They had a difficult child hood, and have lots of pressures, and can’t get a job, and …

Catch them, charge them, put them in our new gaol.

Funny thing is they attempted to steal something that I suspest they hoped had opiod derivatives in it.

Even things as soft as valium are locked up at TCH – and have to be logged and tracked when used.

This just in… Point Hut Crossing closed due to TONNES OF LETHAL WATER.

I particularly liked Prime’s coverage last night: “…the theft of LETHAL heart medication…”. Now I know it may be technically correct, in the same way calling water “lethal” is technically correct (it’s all in how you use it), but really it’s sensationalist journalism at its finest.

it would be a nice twist if the medication actually caused heart problems in people who didn’t need it…
I’m so evil

Can’t believe that someone stole the childrens ward plasma TV as well. First off its a bastard act for the poor littluns and secondly the damn things are so cheap these days, under $1000.
