ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident where a 27-year-old woman was robbed by a man wielding a knife as she walked home last night (Wednesday, September 14).
About 6.30 pm the woman was walking along Conyers Street in Hughes when she was approached by a man, demanding her mobile phone. When the woman replied that she didn’t have a phone the man demanded her bag and produced a knife.
The victim handed over an envelope containing her pay to the man before he took off on foot.
The man is described as being approximately 185cm tall (6’1”), with an overweight build and wearing a black hooded jumper and black track pants.
