Tuggeranong Hyperdome operations back to normal. ACT FIre & Rescue are confident that the air conditioning system can adequately support the 30 people currently inside the Hyperdome.

They are also confident that the 300,000 cockroaches survived the incident unscathed.

ACT Fire & Rescue can confirm that 7 people were evacuated from the Tuggeranong Hyperdome following a fire this afternoon. Fortunately, a large number of businesses were completely unoccupied, and staff in the majority of occupied businesses were out the back having a smoke. Investigations are continuing as to whether a Hyperdome staff member ashing their cigarette onto the electrical distribution board was the cause of the fire.

Perhaps it was an attempted insurance job by the Hippodrome owners?!?! Hahaha!

So the Horrordome isn’t quite living up to its name, then… but why were there so few people about at peak hour on late night shopping night?
