I know it's silly season but honestly!

I can’t believe this woman wasn’t dead from alcohol poisoning, nonetheless evenly remotely thinking she was capable of operating a vehicle – legal or not. Check out today’s news item about a Canberra woman who blew 19 times the legal limit yesterday morning.

I thought a custodial sentence was mandatory for repeat-offenders with high range convictions? But anyway, nothing much in the way of light sentences from the ACT courts surprises me these days…

So instead of a custodial sentence (say a year or two) with madatory alcohol rehab and education, she gets fined $600, disqualified for 18 months and put on a good behaviour bond?

Insanity..

“Grosse, 21, who is a repeat drink-driving offender, was fined $600 and was banned from driving for 18 months”

For a reading of .385 and being a repeat offender, that’s all she gets?? Hahaha that is absolutely ridiculous. She should have lost her licence for good. Who wants to put bets on the fact that she’ll drink drive again?!

What’s the link between Chisholm Tavern and this woman?? Ever thought about going to the Tavern and having a look at the new renovations and the new clientele? Why is the Tavern being singled out like the previous posts?

Me thinks her car should be seized and then forced to watch it being crushed at a wreckers. There should be a ruling to not only suspend a licence but to suspend the ability buy a vehicle (ie. you need a licence to buy). Anyway, I am sure it is a lovely walk from Richardson to Chisolm…

Is anything taught at schools nowdays? Silly? No, far too kind. Reckless? She was too pissed to think. Stupid is far too broad… a serious threat to the community – yeah, that’ll do. Should never drive again… ever.

no ceejay, in keeping with Canberran sentencing tradition, she’d be sentenced to a good behaviour bond and community service, working the bar at Chisholm Tavern for six monts.

Fair go oh self-righteous ones, how would you like it if your mum had started you on beer when you got home from pre-school and was sharing a bottle of bourbon with you to help you with your homework? It’s the Richardson way and all this poor girl did was follow in her mum’s and neighbour’s footsteps. She should be let off with a voucher from the Chisholm Tavern.

It was at ten past 8 so she must’ve had an even bigger night before that too… I wiped out stanhope’s car and an unmarked cop car hungover a year ago (thought i’d be fine cause i slept) and didn’t blow nearly that so god know’s the damage she might’ve caused.hate to think of the hanover she’ll have

I bet you were popular then…….

I wonder how far she had actually driven before being pulled over. She’s lucky she didn’t kill someone in the process.

Name and shame time!

especially with that level it’ll probanly take almost 24 hours to e it all out of her system

i remember once during my misspent youth, using one of those breathalysers at the club and blew .224 and I was barely standing.

ridiculous that she was even contemplating getting behind the wheel of a car let alone went and did it.

i agree with mr evil… never should be allowed to drive again.

If they bring in 0.0 then they’ll have to drop this sensational N times nonsense.

Not to mention in peak hour in the morning..

Champion effort that

She should never be allowed to drive again – ever.

Yeah but, you know, she was only like 8.5 times the limit for a driver with a full licence! Give her a break!

As far as alcohol poisoning, wikipedia tells me that the accepted LD50 (the dose at which 50% of average adults will die) for alcohol is 0.4%, so statistically she was more likely to have lived than died from it at 0.385%…just.
