I need you!

Hi, I posted a few weeks back encouraging people to vote for me and my script ‘One Night in Canberra’ in the Project Greenlight Australia filmmaking competition. It obviously worked, because I made it through to the next round with 82% of the audience vote!

Now I need votes again to get me from the top 4 to the top 2, and just two weeks away from winning the competition and bringing a million dollar film to Canberra.

For this round of the competiton I was required to make another short film, and I did so using a cast and crew made up entirely of local Canberra talent. No mimes or Bud Tingwell this time, but hopefully people like what I did with the short script given to me.

You can also vote multiple times via sms by texting John to 1999 7222 (cost 55c).

Or

Vote for free online on the Project Greenlight website.

Voting closes midnight Sunday.

If you have any questions about me, my script or the comp, post them in the comments and I’ll try and answer.

Cheers,
John

Hmm, didn’t even watch anything, but still sent ya a few votes, good luck

I voted. Good luck to you!

well done John!
and good on you for using local talent

Spectra – I don’t think I can post the video anywhere until voting closes, but there should be a mac friendly version up on the site later today (http://projectgreenlight.ninemsn.com.au/Video-Library.html)

Danman – Cheers.

Cabbage — fair enough, and if you think one of the other contestants is more talented, go vote for them. The judges (Megan Spencer and Jeremy Sims) said my script was the best in the competition, but the comp is decided entirely on public voting, and so to win I have to encourage as many people to vote as possible. All the contestants are doing the same.

Good work John. Congrats on getting so far in the comp.

If you want any help with soundtrack work let me know.

Cheers,

JT

I’d like to second spectra’s motion for a version I can watch.

Interesting, the last round worked OK.

As for the WW, it’s not like he’s a member in good standing around here.

How about getting by on talent?

John – good idea to ignore wagga_wagga in this instance.

This individual has been trolling for bites all week – just dismiss it.

Good to see local talent at work.

I don’t want to sound like some kind of fanatic, but it’s too bad those of us who don’t use IE & Windows etc can’t actually watch your video. Any chance a copy could be posted to YouTube or one of the other slightly more OS-agnostic sites?
I’d vote, but I’d rather know what I’m voting for first 🙂

If you want to stack a vote with false votes why don’t you join Hillsong?
