The Wallabies are in town this week preparing for their game against Italy this Saturday at the Stadium In Bruce.

Foxsports reveal that their young star back James O’Connor is once again weighing up signing with the Brumbies:

O’Connor is tossing up whether to be a role player at the Brumbies or a central figure at the Force and will make a final call this month.

“We have access to a few cars in Canberra this week and I will definitely have a cruise around and check the place out,” O’Connor said.

So if you do see young James out and about you could do the Brumbies a favour by being especially pleasant.

(Just don’t be creepy)

O’Connor seems to like playing in Canberra.

I see. 🙂

Whatever the ticket prices lets hope it’s not -5°C and the Wallabies kick some Italian arse.

Sorry, need to qualify that. Terrace seats (below the two grandstands)- the sections within the ’25s’ and north and south bowl seats have been reclassified from platinum/premium (whatever) to ‘gold’ ($59). On your (above)advice, Holden, I skipped the net and went in to the store. The lady there told me how lucky I was to have arrived after 3.00pm, and she pointed out the changed pricing. Todays CTs story on O’Connor’s selection gives a hint to this too: (An ARU spokesman said, ‘If there is any misconception the match is a sellout we’d like to dispel that’).

Hope that clarifies things.

Are you sure? I bought tickets today at 3:30pm (and I just checked the Ticketek website now) and the prices are the same they were last weekend.

Oh, and lets not forget that James O’Connor has been selected for the starting side on Saturday.

Ladies, “take one for the team” is a phrase that comes to mind here….he’s a good looking & fit young man with a big future ahead of him in any case. 😉

How about employing Charmyne and her pals to entice him.

I think we all could have seen a little blonde girl being ‘extra extra’ nice to him on Sunday.

Rolling out the Berra’s finest!

Someone tell him that he can buy fireworks!

Apologies for going a bit OT, but it looks like the Ticketek website has just clagged it for the Italy game???

Giteau will probably go to France after 2011.

It puts Toomua in a perfect position to take over in 2012 at the ripe young age of 22. In the meantime he’ll get schooled by the best and can provide flyhalf/fullback coverage from the bench.

There are sure to be injuries.

But I doubt we’ll be able to keep them all into the future.

> word is he is all but signed. great player, but what will happen to christian leofarno (SP) with gits at 10 and oconner at twelve?

Not to mention Matt Toomoa, who finished off the season very well when Lealifano was injured.

To be safe, we should restrict it to “north of Mt Taylor, south of the city”. Only the good bits of town will be seen by James then.

Or North of Giralang.

Make sure he stays North of Mt Taylor.

And no further west than Bruce!!

Just don’t mistake him for the ballboy, he still looks like he’s twelve years old.

Would be a great signing if we can get him.

I assume we’d play him at 12 if he signs, but I’d prefer to see little Smith fill that role. Mind whoever does end up with O’Connor on the roster won’t be disappointed – he’s a gun

Remember that U2 song “With or Without You”? Well J.C, your signature would be nice but we’re gonna win it next year with or without you.

I can’t help but be amused by the idea of role players at the Brumbies. It sounds like the Force lets him be the Dungeon Master.

On Sunday at the Wallabies signing day after he signed a jersey, I told him there was a Brumbies contract sitting under it and the pen would mark underneath.

He seemed to see the funny side of it.
