If You’re A Brumby And You Know It Clap Your Hands – And go to the Royal in Paddington after the Game

By johnboy - 15 April 2006 9

Terubo has grasped the nettle and put out the call.

For RA Brumbies heading for the Sunday thrashing of the Tahs – place to be after the game is the Royal Hotel, 5-ways, Paddo…just a shortish walk from the ground.

So now we know.

FYI the RA select taskforce will be departing for Sydney shortly and, designated driver aside, plan to be mostly incapacitated for the duration. Please take this opportunity to debate the merits of our posting a pictorial essay of our adventures.

That is All.

What’s Your opinion?

I’d say without those three we’ve got a major battle on our hands. Then we’d be in some trouble for the final 4.

Sorry I missed you Jazz. Let’s hope for better things against the Hurricanes…

Johnboy and Kerces went home to pretend the game didn’t happen, however I was there. I have no idea what time it was as i couldn’t focus on my watch

Agreed. Where was everyone? Team Terubo hung around the Royal until 10.15 and saw just one disinterested Brumby there. Perhaps everyone took flight for the ACT after the game?

Debate the Merits?

There’s nothing to debate, it’s simple – if we win we wanna read (and see) all about it. If we lose, we don’t.

I should add that going to Sydney to watch the Brumbies and then to decadently drink copious amounts of beer is woefully blind to the deeply political, highly important and often extremely politicised themes surrounding signs and symbols in both Western and non-Western Culture.

or something like that…

Thumper 10:09 am 15 Apr 06

Woohoo..

Go the Brumbies…

I’ll have a guinness or two or ten for you guys whilst I’m at the folk festival.

Now back to painting my house.
