I'm anthologised and not ashamed to admit it!

Last year, I won an ACT Writers Centre award – which was an unexpected and bl**dy marvellous experience, thank you very much!

It recently got better because my story was picked up for publication in an anthology. I know some of you are readers, and so if you are interested in an eclectic mix of Australian short-form writing – from bush ballads to big L literature – you may want to have a squiz at the newly published Award Winning Australian Writers 2009.

You can order a copy from the publisher’s website. You could probably get it in a bookstore too, but I’m not sure which one.

The award I was given is the Marjorie Graber McInnis Short Story Award. Happy reading!

Was this the story about the tattoo? I really liked that one.

clearly, smackbang, the publishers have not been anthologised!

goodness upon you again rosebud!

Surely “award-winning” Australian writers should know how to use a hyphen?!

(Not a dig at you, just at whoever’s responsible for the title of the book…)

Good on you Rosebud. That IS a good story. I hope you keep on writing.
.

Congratulations.
I’m willing to bet Smiths Bookshop in the city would get this anthology. They get a wider variety of short works (poetry books, short stories etc) than any other Canberra bookshop I’ve looked in (which is most of them).

Congratulations 🙂
