On Saturday 08-APR-06 we did the Civic Public Art Walking Tour and lived to tell the tale.

And so, I present to you item # 29, Untitled, by Keiko Amenomori-Schmeisser. It’s in Garema Place

Untitled - by Keiko Amenomori-Schmeisser

The guide says:

The graphic image on the front of the
Garema Place projection screen is
inspired by the noise, movement and
light of the surrounding area.

What a piece of shit.

Projection screen needs more hardcore porno. That is all.

I was always partial to velvet Elvis paintings.

I take great offence to that comment, Caf. I know a great deal about art, and in particular I have always been greatly impressed by those paintings of James Dean, Elvis, Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Munro in a Bar. 😉

There’s a lot of things that I would classify as art. Wavy lines on a projection screen isn’t one of them.

It seems as if most commenters around here think that if it ain’t a framed oil painting of dogs playing poker, it ain’t art.

Shit; I didn’t even know that was supposed to be an art work!
