Floriade from the wheel

Kennardly’s sent in this photo to help you decide if the price of admission to the Floriade ferris wheel is worth it.

There was a very high viewing platform at the 2nd Floriade (1989). It was great to be able to see the beds from higher up. However, Floriade was much smaller then.

One observation I have about Floriade every year is that the only way to really see all the patterns in the flower beds is to get up high (ie pay the money for the ferris wheel!). From ground level, and even from the slightly elevated deck, you really don’t get a true appreciation of the effort gone into it all.

I’ve often wondered why they don’t have higher decks, or something you can climb up. The ferris wheel is ‘ok’ for these shots, but you have a limited view, and can’t see all of Floriade from up there.

It never ceases to amaze me what a crowd a few flowers attracts.

I have been twice to Floraide this year once during the day and once at night. Loved it especially walking underneath those umbrellas with lights inside them

I totally agree that the best way to see the patterns is from a good height so I think investing in some sort of skybridge like they use in tassie between the trees would be a great addition. Wishful thinking + it would cost a stack
