Images of Canberra – Pommy Bastard Sky

By johnboy 28 November 2008 23

By popular demand Pommy Bastard has sent in another of his landscape and sky snaps.

There’s a sneaky little Telstra-yama hiding in there if you look carefully.

The beautiful county of Yorkshire, although not as beautiful as the ACT 😉 how about yourself?

Thanks to both EnglishRaider and Berraboy68.

May I inquire which part of the Sceptered Isle you are from ER?

BerraBoy68 7:56 am 11 Dec 08

Dexi, did you get a rejection letter from art school this week?

Careful Evil, same thing happened to a little german bloke in the early part of last century and it ended in the deaths of tens so millions of people!

Another childish attempt at photography. Has it any meaning? Does it add to our understanding of its subject? No ………Just another poorly produced image.

Can you please post something Dexi (with self-critique) so I can try to understand what you’re on about? PBs pic is a nice landscape – why does it have to have ‘meaning’? If he posed a starving biafran kiddie in the middle (centred, with just the right amount of light and of course hitting the right tones of both Sturm and Drang) would it help?

Beautiful photo, Well done Pommie, I love it! Can’t wait to get back there in March 🙂

With Dexi’s help I may be able to get all my images here at the top of the “recent comments” list!

For the record, I am not Dexi, nor is Dexi a sock puppet of mine. Dexi is not known to me, nor is s/he a member of my friends or family.

I think John can confirm that.

Dexi – Did you pull your tampon string instead of your rip-cord this morning?

Pommy bastard 11:12 am 04 Dec 08

I think Dexi’s a bit sweet on me.

I do hope, should that be the case, that Dexi is female. (And attractive.)

Who the hell are you Dexi? Ross Halfin? Reveal!

“Die lefty Scum”, did you get the e-mail and the image, it was sent Friday night.

Mr Evil 11:35 pm 29 Nov 08

Thanks Kramer – good to see I know my way around Canberra – only been here 19 years! 🙂

Pommy bastard 3:05 pm 28 Nov 08

“Die lefty Scum”, I’ll send it once I get home from work this evening, around 9.30 pm.

Kramer, spot on!

Kramer 2:55 pm 28 Nov 08

Other way round Mr Evil. He’s on the side of Uriarra Road, just past the Coppins Xing Road intersection looking NorthEast. I miss those lost MTB trails…

Mr Evil 12:38 pm 28 Nov 08

Lovely image. Was that taken somewhere near The Pinnacle?

Pommy bastard 12:35 pm 28 Nov 08

Die lefty scum: let me know your email address, and you can have a copy of the full sized original image.

Thanks to all for the compliments, and thanks to my dear lady wife for letting me know the image had been used.

Nobody owns the land, not the Aboriginals and not even Riotact.
