Red_dog (of Lushpup fame) has sent in this amazing photograph with the following note:

I have the misting fog irrigation system at the Australian National Botanic Gardens to thank for this one … I was in the rainforest gully section when the mist jets came on further up the gully and rolled its fog toward me … the way it played with the late afternoon sunlight made me gasp. No textures added here … though it is a 3-frame HDR to try and capture the stairs which were in almost complete darkness. The scene reminded me of a dream I had … still does. Right place .. right time.

You should talk to the people at ACT Tourism. Imagine a photo like that on the front of a tourism brochure 🙂

Amazing photo, ethereal.

Spectacular, this has to be the best photo I’ve seen on RiotACT so far.

Terrific image. It could be an interpretation of the pearl gates. You all know that Michael jackson was there earlier today. He was told…wait for it…

…”I don’t know if your black or white, so Beat It”.

Awesome pic. Thanks for brightening my day, Red_dog!

Almost biblical – the light reminds me of those colorful Sunday School pictures of Jesus and the rays of light coming down from heaven.

ant… Photomanipulation….Ever seen dayglow moss outside of Pripyat ?

babyface…. I am not a fan of HDR either, but photo or digital art – its still rather dreamworld

That is amazing. How did you get the greens of the moss to blow up like that?

would have been impressed if it was an actual photo. hdr fail.

Astonishing, and trippy. I likes it.

surreal. Couldn’t get a photo like that on purpose. Well done and thanks for sharing it.

Simply awesome photo
