AndyM has sent in this picture with accompanying note:

Here is a picture I took a few years ago I quite like. It was taken on a cloudy winter’s day.

It was taken from the Mt Franklin car park looking up the track to Mt Franklin.

Amazing pic – thanks for sharing!

I echo Miz’s request – AndyM, any chances of getting a copy to frame?

Already did. I went up there on Tuesday, very nice place. Unfortunately all my shots turned out to be too good to put on here. I wouldn’t want to disappoint Dexi by putting good images on here, I’ll stick with crappy ones.

You shouldn’t have told Pommy Bastard where Mt Franklin is… now he’ll go and take a flawed photo of it, and annoy Dexi some more.

Wow, mystical and misty too.

Beautiful shot AndyM

Hi all,
Thanks for the comments. It was pre fires, but I couldnt tell you the exact date. I always fancied it had a “Middle Earth” quality to it.

PommyBastard – Mt Franklin is one of the peaks in the Brindabella Ranges.

Looks like the Headless Horseman is about to ride out of the fog.

Looks quite magical, me thinks this is from before the fires. The track is quite smooth and littered with leaves here, last time I went after the fires, it was really rough and eroded and just dirt.

Please excuse my ignorence as well but was that taken before or after the bushfires…..? you said it was a few years ago

Please excuse my ignorance, but where is this “Mt Franklin”?

I’d love a framed print of this on my wall – any chance? So evocative.

Lovely atmospherics, well-captured. Was this taken pre or post fires? Franklin really copped it, our club’s old shed (“chalet”) was blitzed.

Walking up there is very special, it’s wonderful country. I like walking out from the carpark up to Gingera, you can see Mt Jagungal out the back, and the MLC tower in Woden out the front!

Looks great, although my first thought was Enya Album

Gorgeous.

I’ve only ever seen Mt Franklin with snow on it.
