Images of Canberra – Wasn’t that a nice sunset?

By johnboy - 1 April 2009 7

The last evening in March turned up an absolutely corking sunset with the clouds (remember them?) lining up perfectly.

A bit of smoke in the air might have helped too.

Anyway it prompted me to go for a wander with the big camera and here’s what I got.

Magnificent! I wish I’d seen it. What was I doing? What was I thinking?

Sunrises are good too – getting up at 0615 allow me to see both rise/set everyday – Great shot JB – seems you are using the SLR to is maximum potential well..

PS Where is the pinnacle – I would be most keen to go for a walk up there myself

Well I started out just enjoying the sunset, and then decided it really needed some pictures taken.

Selfish I know, shouldn’t have indulged myself like that.

That was a nice sunset. we’ve had a good run of them lately, but last night’s had me wishing my little Canon Elph handbag camera hadn’t become possessed by devils.

The early part of that sunset had the pale oranges and yellows, together with teh pretty aqua of the sky. And then it deepened into the pictures shown above.
