Ahh this explains it…

The website you are attempting to reach is currently not available.

The ACT Government data centre is undergoing bi-annual maintenance on its facilities between 1:00pm Saturday 26th September 2009 and 3:00pm Sunday 27th September 2009.

Outages will occur on many ACT Government websites during the above period.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Has anyone got photos of scrivener dam when all 4 spillways at the top were opened – from memory it was 1972.

found one photo of a test here:

Interestingly this is an image from inside Scrivener Dam, me being an infrastructure geek have always been keen to get a guided tour inside

Scrivener was last open back in June 2007, which was the first time in 5 years. You can see photos here… http://michael.rwts.com.au/2007/06/28/scrivener-dam-in-flood/

My better half used to work for the company responsible for managing the dam and the flood management plan.

BTW, lots of trees down on people’s houses, garages, fences, etc, as well as flooded roof cavities, garages, etc.

SES were out all Tuesday night until sun up, and also last night.

Great effort guys 😉

The storm last night was huge. I experienced it first hand standing on Scrivener dam in torrents of rain and lightning striking all around.
