Immigration Bridge Australia charging ahead

The ABC reports that the folk at Immigration Bridge Australia are expecting to start construction next year after raising the height of the bridge and reducing the number of pylons so as not to bugger up the sailing under the span from the National Museum to Lennox Gardens.

Higher bridge + less pylons = Much more expensive bridge.

In any event we advise waiting until the NCA starts making statements before you start deciding what to wear to the gala opening.

Sailing is just one problem. What about rowers? there are far more rowing craft using that area of the lake than there are sailers (sailors?). And the smaller rowing sculls do not have a cox, so the scullers – who row with their backs to the direction they are travelling – have to keep looking over their shoulders to see where they are going.
