ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a robbery at the Lyneham Capital Chemist yesterday afternoon (Monday, February 27).

About 5.50pm a man entered the store and walked to the back of the chemist, demanding staff give him medication. He told the staff he would not hurt them if they complied with his demands.

The offender was given various medications and placed them in a green enviro bag before leaving the store.

The man was described as wearing dark clothing, glasses and had a bandanna covering his face.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Great site for stats. I notice Ngunnawal has twice the criminal activity than where I moved to. So glad I got out when I did!

Here’s how Lyneham compares to …where I live. Lyneham is the first number, my suburb the second.

Homicide 0 0
Assault 11 7
Sexual assault 0 0
Offences against a person 0 0
Burglary 16 1
Robbery 1 1
Theft (excluding Motor Vehicles) 43 20
Motor vehicle theft 9 0
Property damage 33 23
Other offences 59 25

It should be that the magistrate give him the plague.

He’s clearly saved a dolphin right there. Magistrate will probably give him a plaque.
