Peter Miller from the Home Energy Advice Team will talk about ways in which we can keep our homes cool in summer. Followed by Chris Mobb who will explain the Green Loans Program. Green Loans is a new Australian Government Initiative to assist families to install solar, water saving, and energy efficient products.The program provides a detailed home sustainability assessment and then access to Green Loans of up to $10 000 that are interest free for up to a max of 4 years, so as to enable people to make the recommended modifications highlighted in the assessment.

Great initiative! I’m interested to see what enviromentally friendly options there are for our newly purchased home for summer. If the last few days are anything to go by, we’re in for another long hot summer!!sh*%$!!

Yes it would be a good idea, but I already know how to save on money on gas and water, I rent from housing and I have to wait almost five minutes for the hot water to heat up, because of their inperfact heating system.
