If your wine collection is looking a little sad after the holiday season, now’s the perfect time to stock up with some incredible secret deals on offer at Farrah’s Liquor Collective.

While the finer details of the ‘Under the Cover Wine Deals’ are a closely guarded secret, store owner Matt Farrah says they’re going to “blow the minds” of wine lovers.

He says people will need to pop into the store to grab quality wines at up to 70 per cent off the regular retail price.

“The Under the Cover wines we have are insanely good quality, but the only way people can get their hands on them is to come into the store,” Matt said.

“The high-quality wines are so inexpensive that we’re not allowed to publish the prices. People are going to pick up wines that normally retail for $70 for just $16 per bottle – that’s a saving of around 70 per cent.”

The Under the Cover Wine Deals are not available online and are a big part of Farrah’s annual three-day Mega Warehouse Sale from 11 to 13 February.

Wine lovers will have an opportunity to sample some of the Under the Cover wines from regional producers, as well as international winemakers, at an in-store tasting on Saturday (12 February) from 10 am to 5 pm.

“We’ll have dozens of wines to try, including the Under the Cover wines, so people can see for themselves how good they are and can grab a couple of cases at incredible prices – like $150 bottles selling for $32,” Matt said.

“For those who can’t make it to the store, all wines – except the Under the Cover wines – will be online to buy and we deliver to your door so you can take advantage of the great deals from your home, or really anywhere.”

Free delivery is available in Canberra and Queanbeyan only. Delivery fees apply for interstate buyers.

Mmmmm ... beer

Farrah’s will be offering 20 per cent off wine when you buy 12 bottles or more, and 20 per cent off four and six-packs of craft beer.

“Our warehouse sale has developed a bit of a cult following, and Canberrans really look forward to it each year,” Matt said.

The three-day sale is a great chance to stock up and try some amazing local craft beers from the likes of the Tumut Brewery and boutique wines from smaller producers such as Barton Estate and Murrumbateman Winery, as well as renowned national and international winemakers.

Farrah’s Liquor Collective has been operating in Canberra for two-and-a-half years and is famous for showcasing small beer, wine and spirit producers that find it difficult and costly to break into the big retail market.

Matt says that by working directly with the producers, they can bring the wine straight to the consumer at “amazingly unbeatable prices”.

Farrah’s has a panel of five experts that hand-pick every bottle of wine based on quality and price. If a wine doesn’t pass the test, it doesn’t hit the shelves.

The team can also help shoppers match new wines that suit their profile and suggest different styles for them to try.

“People love our personal shopping service and knowledge of wines – it’s a real experience coming into our store,” Matt said.

“They know we can help them choose the perfect wine and trust they are getting premier products.”

For a chance to pick up a great in-store-only Under the Cover Wine Deal, pop into Farrah’s Liquor Collective in Townsville Street, Fyshwick, from 11 to 13 February, or jump onto the website for massive online savings during the Mega Warehouse Sale.
