Now, if I were cynical i would say this has something to do with the recent coroner decision and the decision by some of the community to take out a class action against our dearly beloved government. However, being that I am not that cynical, I will let the reader make up their own mind, or apply if they wish.
ACT Government’s Solicitor Office
Civil Litigation- Bushfire Unit
An opening has arisen for a junior lawyer with good organisational and document management skills to join the ACT Government Solicitor team working on a significant litigious matter. The lawyer will be required to assist in the preparation of the litigation. This will include undertaking the day to day tasks associated with: gathering of documents and discovery, analysis and collation, administration and management of significant volumes of electronic and hardcopy documents associated with the litigation. Some tasks will also require drafting skills, client liaison and briefing counsel. The lawyer will be working in a small team and must be well motivated to produce accurate results within tight deadlines.
Is this what is called a pre-emptive strike? Or is it simply being proactive?
