dog ad

Look at this disgraceful act:

Wait until she’s pregnant and then decide you don’t have time for her anymore. Scum of the earth lady!

Thank you all for your concern for this dog.

A member of the public alerted us about this ad a few days ago and we have been in contact with the owner to discuss her options for rehoming the dog.

Thank you, RSPCA. Truly.

She probably wanted the dog because it was a “tough” breed that attracts men, kind-of a tough chick fashion accessory. Getting rid of an inconvenient dog and “project” car = Lisa may herself now have a kid and hasn’t got time for such things.

I hope some kind person takes the pregnant dog, how rotten. Treating animals like bits of furniture. No doubt the dog loves her.

$100 She bought the dog because it was a really cute puppy ( as most puppies are) blue heelers though have a sweet puppy look so i would imagine that’s the real reason she got it. I bet she didn’t realise it would eat a lot, or shed hair, or all the other things animals do. Personally i think she should be fined for not having the animal desexed when it was 12-14 weeks old, and placed on a list that means she shouldn’t be allowed any pets – not even fish.

Really? On the basis of a 2 line ad? Pretty unedifying thread.

or dog fighters sadly

I actually read an article by the RSPCA the other day that said they didn’t believe there was any dog fighting in the ACT, which is fantastic! But yes, as someone that follows numerous dog rescue organisations here and overseas, this would definitely be a horrific fate. Dogs offered free on Craigslist in the US often end up in the ring, or used as bait dogs 🙁

Someone needs to reply to the ad and tell her to take the dog to the RSPCA! At least the dog and the pups will have a good chance of being rehomed responsibly. “FREE TO A GOOD HOME” is never a good idea – someone may take her who doesn’t have her best interests in mind, such as making a quick dollar out of selling the pups and dumping the mum 🙁

Bloody sad. I’d have her and the puppies if I could, but we have a very well treated elderly dog at home already. I hate it when people say indifferent things about responsible pet ownership. I admit we treat our dog too well, but some people should not be allowed to have them.

By the way the ad is written this person does not care. I hope the dog is re-homed before she gives birth as who knows what will happen to the pups.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have amongst us an expert in forensic typing analysis. Madam Cholet, were you able to deduce from the way the pixels were arranged on the screen that the person who typed the ad is a bad person? Or was it the movement of the electrons?

Can we get Lisa desexed also?

Yeah. Honestly, OP, maybe you need a more appropriate target to waive your tiny fists at.

Nah, I think the advertiser is to be admired for trying to make an honest buck on this rather than just giving away her doggy pal (and the belly-load of pal-puppies!) to the pound or RSPCA for free. That’s the Ayn Rand dream right there.

To be fair, she is giving away the dog, not selling it, or selling the puppies. It would be good if one of the rescue groups could get the dog from her and ensure the pups get good homes. At least she didn’t just dump the dog in the bush somewhere, as some charming people do. It’s a really good advertisement for all dogs being desexed, though.

I imagine you dislike any website that requires you to tipe wurrds on it.

(I hope you find a home for the dog).

I love RiotAct, but picking on this woman’s ad is pretty low, especially as people are building up a mythology about her without having the facts. She is doing the right thing, if she doesn’t have the time or experience to look after a pregnant bitch, to have it rehomed. I’d rather the dog and pups go to a good home, than die from neglect.

Lisa of Banks ACT is also selling a “mazda 929 with v6 commy series2 engine in it. great project car, no rego completley gas! no fuel has own transmission fans! automatic Come With Another Engine And Gear Box”

email: sext-monkey-101@hotmail.com for details.

Could someone tell me what a “Commy” engine is? Is that the type that distributes the fuel evenly amongst all of the cylinders? I wonder if Lisa would consider a package deal with the knocked-up dog and the unregistered Mazda with the Commy engine sitting on the front lawn?

Bogan trashbag Lisa gets a dog on a whim cause she thinks it’s cute. Too cheap and irresponsible to get her her snipped, too lazy the walk the poor thing. Then wants to make it someone elses problem now that the novelty of having a dog has worn off. I’m assuming the thing is chipped or she would’ve dumped it in one of the overnight bins at RSPCA in a heartbeat.

Read between the lines. ‘…would very much suit a farm or large back yard!’. The dog is obviously causing problems, digging, jumping fences, chewing – whatever. It’s a working dog stuck in a small back yard without anything to do. The throw away line about not having time for her anymore disgusts me.

Lifetime ban on owning pets for Lisa. And wouldn’t a good telling off make me feel better too. Give it to her, Rioters.

CrocodileGandhi, how horrible that the dog was ever placed with someone who is obviously completely unable and unwilling to look after it. For life. That’s the contract when you get a pet. Obviously there can be extenuating circumstances. A friend of mine recently took in a dog because the owner, becoming ever more afflicted by Alzheimers, was no longer able to care for the dog properly. But ‘don’t have time’. Pfft.
