Is AFL wasted in Canberra

By johnboy 23 May 2007 20

The Herald Sun’s Mark Stevens has a lengthy spray at good footy being wasted on the fields of Manuka.

On past performances, Canberra doesn’t deserve such a marquee match. Plain and simple.

The last time Sydney and the Bulldogs met at Manuka Oval, in the first round of this year’s NAB Cup, just 5557 turned up.

That is pathetic. Canberra has three games a year and that’s the best it could do? Embarrassing.

The AFL would have been better off playing that game at Lavington Sports Ground in Albury.

What’s Your opinion?
