It just takes a breadknife to get the moneys

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an armed robbery at Manuka yesterday evening (Sunday, February 19).

About 11 pm a man entered the Coles Express service station on Canberra Avenue, carrying a bread knife and demanding money.

The offender is described as of African appearance, with a skinny build, 160cm tall, wearing a red hooded jumper, jeans, white shoes and a blue and white scarf wrapped around his face.

After receiving a small amount of money, the man ran out of the shop and headed towards Stuart flats on Light Street, Griffith.

Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
