It's Monday, time to look at some very bad parking.

It’s Monday! People have been parking poorly! I will judge them!
Spotted a poor parking effort? Send them in to images@the-riotact.com!

Here’s what we got last week.

1) Astrojax sent this in:

not a spectacular example, but one for the next compendium of parking fails: Dickson on Sunday noon 17 feb 2013.

Bad

2) Chris sent us this one from Manuka:

Got this one in the underground carpark in Manuka on the day of the cricket. Forgot about it until now. Concrete pillar on the left so not a knock on effect.

The parks are pretty tight down there anyway so being on/over the line makes it really difficult for the next car.

Boo!

3) Smee observed this stinker:

Spotted this in the Mawson park and ride this morning. They were parked so far out that it was hard to swing into the car park opposite.

Ewww

4) Mad Chicken found this:

From Calvary this morning…

Yuck

5) Matt Watts rats out his mate:

Here’s yet another example of bad parking around Canberra, and we know who is responsible! This time it’s RiotACT contributor Damien Haas’ white panel van of justice! The bastard.

Unfortunately for Damien, a white Commodore hit into the rear of the panel van, damaging the rear doors. Comeuppance is a bitch 🙂

Boom

6) Deskmonkey observed this sticky situation:

I really hope that the person in front realises he’s hit the guy behind.

Crunch

7) Sascha ventured south to bring us this one:

Apparently ‘gold mazda’ got their angles all wrong selfishly taking 3 spots in the process.

Woden style

8 ) The Cassowary grew hands so they could take this picture:

Here’s one I just saw in Civic. No disabled sticker, not even in the lines.

Damn

9) Lindsay thinks this driver could have put a little more effort:

From the Philip Car Park today

It is a notoriously tight car park ….but come on.

Snug

10) Sandcaw finishes this section off with this lonely driver:

Thought you might appreciate this for your ‘Bad Parking’ segment. Spotted at Dunlop.

Done

I also store beer in the garage.

WooHoo, party at Matt’s 3 am. Be there early or miss out.

If anyone turns up, well… I don’t know what I’d do. I hear parking can be a bit rough, though.

I don’t believe it happened. I’m so tired!

Seriously, can we stop with the parking pics?? It’s a free kick to Myles Peterson and his Canberra-bashing mates that we’ve got nothing better to do here…

Nah. Y love em. Keep those card and letters rollyng yn. And yf Myles Peterson wants to dump on Canberra, well phuque hymn, with all yts faults y styll lyke the place. What Y’d lyke to know ys whi hys parents never learned to dystynguysh between y and i.

How about I start uploading videos of Canberra driving moments and we start one called “Every waking moment on Canberra roads”?

I have 7 photos all from different days of the tosser with the VW monstrosity out the front of Dan Murphys in Phillip. The moron owner is a regular there and genuinely believes its cool to park like that. In any other state the fwit would be booked every time.

Perhaps we need to award ‘Can Opener Of The Week’, presented to the person who makes it hardest for those around them to get their cars out.

In my defence…. why build garages in unit complexes and then let everyone fill them with TIN TIN DIORAMAS instead of cars? There is no guest parking. Its just anarchy in there.

Aside from the parking shortage, what do you have against Tintin?! But even I have run out of space in the garage, and I think it’s a tad water damaged so I’m thinking of chucking it.

I also store beer in the garage.

and yes i fell prey to a white commodore at the Gundaroo Drive/Gungahlin Drive intersection. fortunately no one was hurt.

Pic 6 Oh the fun and games if front car has a tow ball!

The parking inspectors could erase the national debt if they watched and waited at the Kambah village any night of the week. There is a taxi rank outside woolworths and it is always full of cars that aren’t taxis.

Even when there are 50 other spots available, the lazy toads just park in the taxi spots.

Last wednesday night there were about 2 there when i went in, and a different two there when i came out.

There was a similar issue with a loading zone at Kippax. Was alway

s full of standard cars. The inspectors could of just sat in the park opposite, I reckon they would of got 20-30 cars per hour.
In the end they just removed the loading zone 🙁

Could have sat, not of. How hard can it be?

If I had to drive that thing I’d demand a railway, too.

#9 From the Philip Car Park today

The spots in there are SO small that anything goes … this bloke gets a tick for removing any doubt.

Seriously, can we stop with the parking pics?? It’s a free kick to Myles Peterson and his Canberra-bashing mates that we’ve got nothing better to do here…

Hundreds of stories every week and just one about parking?

Anyway there’s nary a bag of coke to be seen in these pix.

Props to the parking inspector who pinged a Toyota Tarago parked in the bike lane on the Federal Highway outside EPIC (right under a No Parking sign, no less). Dangerous for bike riders, not to mention stupid in general.
