Adam Thomas is quite good.

The greatest pub ever to grace the face of Canberra, the Phoenix will be celebrating its 20th birthday next month on the 21st of November.

A collection of musical acts have been announced for the night including the Unknown Muso, The Fuelers, Pete and Fiete, and & Fun Machine.

I am ridiculously excited.

The Phoenix has been good to Canberra and good to me, I wonder what I should get it?

“Probably more a prophecy of how you’ll feel riding home after spending a few hours there.”
Too true – watch those trees – they jump out at you in the dark!

I’ve heard tell that Phoenix is expanding it’s premises, do you know anything about that, Barchy?

I have heard similar things, and it’s very exciting.

Got a history of the Phoenix thread? Like when Mooseheads burnt down and a bunch of army thugs sporting swastika tatts showed up. /awkward.

The Bent Spoke? Is that a threat?

Surely the greatest pub in Canberra (as measured by the quality of the beer, not by its ambience and certainly not by the simpatico of the owner!) has been the Wig and Pen.
But now the brewer, Richard Watkins, has left the Wig and is setting up his own brewery, the Bent Spoke, with four times the capacity of the Wig (whoo hoo!) on the corner of Mort and Eloura Streets, Braddon – with hope that it will be open by February. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
I am sure your pushy will be welcome, johnboy!
🙂

We’re looking forward with great anticipation to the Bent Spoke!

That image cannot possibly have the science to back its claims as it does not appear to include Filthy.
