Jewel thieves caught on camera after smashing way into Braddon store

The robbers in the Unique Diamonds store on Lonsdale Street in Braddon.

ACT Policing has released security images of masked robbers who broke into the Unique Diamonds store on Lonsdale Street in Braddon last month.

Police said that about 4 am on Monday 21 August two offenders smashed the front glass door of the store with a hammer and entered the premises.

They then smashed the glass jewellery cabinets inside the store and made off with a large number of jewellery items.

Police said the first offender was wearing a red beanie, a black and white patterned bandana, a black hooded jumper, black Adidas brand pants and a black Adidas brand bum bag.

The second offender was wearing a navy blue hooded jumper, navy blue Adidas brand cap and grey shoes with a cream or yellow coloured sole.

Investigations were ongoing.

Police urge anyone who may have any information about the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6142515. Information can be provided anonymously.
