After 10 years on the road, they’re still on the road. Jigzag are Caroline Trengrove, Greg Bryce and Liz Frencham — accomplished singers and musicians in their own rights, in myriad combinations and collaborations with others, and totally awesome and unmissable as this trio.

Favourites of the folk club and festival circuit, Jigzag are currently touring the country promoting their new Flying Live DVD, a celebration of 10 years of playing, recording and touring together.

Reams more could be written about these guys, but it all boils down to this: don’t miss this gig. It’s oh so much more than 30 seconds of happiness…

PJ Wolf is a gifted songwriter, producer and vocalist with distinctive and accessible style that garnered him a loyal fan base since releasing his CD Storms Dreams and Flying Machines in late 2006.

Drawing on an eclectic range of musical influences from Erik Satie to Bob Dylan, he explores the beautiful, the terrible and the profound through his inventive-acoustic-folk-alt-pop sound. It is music for all those who love to listen deeply and sing along loudly.

The Merry Muse at the Polish White Eagle Club, 38 David Street, Turner.
Doors from about 7pm. Music from 7.30pm (if there’s a walk-up) or 8pm if not.
$15/$12 members and concessions. www.merrymuse.org.au

If Jigzag hit town early enough and their other media commitments allow it, I’ll have them in the studio at 5pm to have a chat and play a couple of numbers on Disc Drive, Artsound FM, 92.7FM and 90.3FM in the Tuggeranong Valley. I’ll have a couple of complimentary tickets to give away too. But you’ll have to have a bionic dialling finger.

Yeah, all three love the camera, or rather, I beg your pardon, the camera loves them.

I’ve had the pleasure of MC-ing all three in various combos over the years, and they’re all great people. Liz is an absolute sweetheart. Some of my own pics of them are buried in here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ovhrprod

Fabulous cover photos!
