The Canberra has the happy news that Canberra restauranteur, general bon vivant, and man around town John Harrington has been granted bail. This is a good thing as it has been reported that he doesn’t like the cold in custody.
Surprisingly the court has heard Mr Harrington owes the Rebels $400,000 a year which is a funny way to run a cocaine import business, but then the 59 year old was allegedly importing his charlie from Chicago, which to this outsider seems like an expensive way to go about things.
Bail has been set at $250,000, which we imagine the bikies will be viewing with considerable interest.
UPDATE: Apologies to John Barrington who, springing eternally to mind, was originally named in the body of this story.
